Jack’s Boat Yard COVID-19 Update

Currently Jack’s Boat Yard is open for business.  We ask that all Personnel and Clients follow the Guidelines from the Government of Canada Health Guide:

most specifically:

  • Self-Isolate for 14 days after your return from travel outside of Canada
  • The Boat Yard is a private place of business, and we ask that all our clients coming back from out of the country do their 14 days of self-isolation before they arrive here to access their boats at the boat yard.
  • monitor your health for fever, cough, difficulty breathing or any other symptoms that the public health office has identified.  Please call and cancel your appointment if you are not feeling well or if you suspect you may have had contact with the COVID-19 virus;

  • wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water prior to starting and after each activity; cover your mouth and nose with your arm or a mask when coughing or sneezing.
  • check this website or phone the boatyard prior to arriving for your appointment to get the most up to date information.

Please check here for updates to Jack’s Boat Yard Status.

At this time we are asking for no visitors. Boat owners and maintenance workers only, no guests. No unauthorized personnel on Boat Yard Property.

There is currently a restriction for non-essential travel outside your health region here in BC at this time Boat maintenance is an essential service but we have had no specific advice on this. If you are concerned about enforcement actions that may happen during your trip please contact officials directly to receive advice. We have sought advice and were given the standard guidelines available on the web site which from our perspective identify maintenance of your marine craft as essential. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions please call 604-483-3566
